There are many different yoga poses and each of them perform differently and have their own function. The one common thing is that every pose is designed to develop a person’s strength and flexibility.

these are some of the yoga poses those are commonly used:

Standing Poses

Standing poses can help to improve your balance and also improve and maintain a good posture. These poses increase flexibility and elasticity in legs and hips.

Seated poses

These poses helps to reduce back pain and back problems. These are helpful to breathe deeply and gives the feeling of peace.

Forward Bends

Forward bend poses are great for releasing tension in neck, shoulders and back.

Balance Poses

Balance poses are beneficial to maintain good posture and also to prevent injuries

Each type of yoga pose has it's benefits for our body and health. when you first start out, some of the poses may seem hard, the more you practise yoga, the more flexible your body will become and the poses will become easy and you will feel much better for it.

Swimming

Swimming is one of the best exercises one can do. It is very affect way to a healthy lifestyle. Swimming is particularly good because the water provides resists. Also, when in water buoyancy (a upward force) is present. Buoyancy is also important because it provides no stress on back, knees and other joints. There is no stress on any joint because when swimming you are floating.

Below is a picture of Michael Phelps showing his domination in 2008 Olympics. He won eight gold medals in swimming events. This is the most medals one by one athlete in a single year. Michael Phelps could arguably be best athlete ever. He is in tremendous shape.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is extremely dangerous and violent type of martial art. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a method of using one owns body to create leverage, and moving oppenents limb past where they are able to bend. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is usually chokes or isolation of limbs. However, that being said the body has to be in extremely good condition in order to preform the techniques required for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. There are also starter classes that are good for beginners. Any, Brazlian Jiu-Jitsu class will train students very hard and get the students body in the best physical shape possible. What made Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu a popular form of martial art was the legendary Royce Gracie. Royce Gracie won the first, second and fourth Ultimate Fighter Championships.

Hockey

Hockey is personally one of my favourite ways to have a healthier lifestyle. Hockey is a fun, exciting way to exercise. Wether, it is outside in the cold in the middle of Winter or indoors in the middle of summer. Hockey can be played with a bunch of friend or complete strangers. Hockey is a good way to socialize and exercise at the same time. Hockey is a very intense sport that requires a vast amount of physical activity. The speed of the game is very fast. It sharpens your mind and body; mind by thinking fast, body by working hard.

Here is a video that shows some of the greatest goals of the 2010/11 season. All of these goals take a fast mind and body in physical shape.
